Literature Text

A man stumbled down the street,
Up my driveway,
And onto my front doorstep.
When I opened the door,
He vomited his soul onto my shoes.

I learned of his troubles,
Loves and losses,
Knowledge and failures.

As his soul seeped into my soles,
I wondered if perhaps
I should stagger over
To some other stranger’s house
And vomit both of our souls
Into his lap
Over tea and cakes.
thought of very early in the morning when I was experiencing stomach trouble of my own. x) I was texting this to myself (so that I wouldn't forget) before attempting to fall back asleep, and I ended up telling my mom the poem. She snorted, "Soul diarrhea" (which is inspiring, at least to me, anyway) and made me think of how unconventional my poetry can get x)

but anyway~ I like a couple of the lines from this (and the title) but I don't really like the poem as a whole, so any tips of improvement that you can give me would be appreciated. I might play with it in the next few days because I have some time before le college starts, but we'll just have to see. ^^;
